MI vs PBKS Highlights, IPL 2023

Arshdeep Singh turned out to be the hero for the Punjab Kings as they defended 215 against all odds and won the game by 13 runs. With 16 to get in the last over and Tim David and Tilak Varma in the middle, Arshdeep conceded just two runs and took two wickets as well

The start to the chase by Mumbai was not good as they lost Ishan Kishan early. However, Rohit Sharma and Cameron Green added 76 in 50 balls to get the game going. Livingstone removed Rohit. But Suryakumar Yadav made sure Mumbai remained in the game as he scored a 23-ball fifty and added 75 off 36 with Cameron Green. Till the time those two were there, it looked like a Mumbai game to lose

First Nathan Ellis removed Green and then Arshdeep got Surya. Tim David tried his best but couldn't strike in the last over

Earlier, asked to bat first, Punjab Kings scored 58/1 in the powerplay. Mumbai fought back with three wickets in quick succession. But Harpreet Bhatai and Sam Curran had other ideas as they went after the Mumbai bowlers

They hit Arjun Tendulkar for 31 in one over and from there on, never looked back. The pair added 92 in just 48 balls. Later on, Jitesh Sharma went bang bang too as the Kings fetched 96 from the last five overs to end their innings at 214/8 in 20 overs. Piyush Chawla was the pick of the bowlers for Mumbai with 2/15 from his three overs

LSG vs GT Highlights, IPL 2023

Lucknow Super Giants have lost a game which they should have won with few overs to spare. Having scored 53 without loss in the powerplay, it never looked like they were going to fall down before cahsing down a minimalistic target of 136. Even after the loss of the first wicket, Krunal Pandya and KL Rahul added 51 runs to assure the fans that Lucknow were winning the game.

With 30 needed off 33 balls, KL Rahul at the crease and eight wickets in hand, the game was still Lucknow's. However, Noor Ahmad and Jayant Yadav first and then Mohit Sharma and Mohd Shami later on made sure that the target increased in every over and wickets fell at regular intervals. Then in the last over, Mohit Sharam bowled a brilliant over and got four wickets to defend 12 runs. He conceded just four runs and won the game for Gujarat by 7 runs

Earlier in the day, after winning the toss and electing the bat first, Gujarat Titans could only get to 135/5 in 20 overs, thanks to 66 off 50 by Hardik Pandya
